Orbital Systems was founded in 2012 by Mehrdad Mahdjoubi following an academic collaboration between NASA and Lund University. Determined to make smarter use of water possible by actively contributing to a more sustainable and water-secure future, the world’s first circular shower was brought to Earth.

Fresh water is already in short supply in many areas, and soon the demand for water will be significantly greater than the supply. Today the average consumption exceeds 100 liters per person and day in the western world. At Orbital, our goal is to reduce this to 20 liters per day.
